Core & Shared Facilities
Northwestern is home to world-class research and supporting infrastructure. Shared and core facilities are the infrastructure that allows this research to happen, providing access to high-end equipment across all disciplines in engineering, biological and chemical sciences, physics, and medicine. Access to this equipment is typically set up for graduate student and research lab access, but other groups of students may access certain facilities when requested.
All core facilities and equipment operate on a pay-for-service & pay-for-access model. Each facility will have its own cost structure for each category of users.
